How to play
Object of the game
The pads light up one after the other, each playing its note. When the demonstration is over, replay exactly the same sequence. Each successful round adds a note to the end of the melody.
How to play
- A mistake, or a hesitation that lasts too long, ends the game (unless you still have a spare life: the sequence is then replayed).
- The tempo speeds up as the rounds go by.
- At the Infernal level, six pads play a full pentatonic scale.
- Goal of each level: reach the indicated streak (from 12 to 28 notes). Then keep going to beat your record.
Controls
- Tap or click the pads.
- Keyboard: keys 1 to 4 (1 to 6 at the Infernal level), or the up, right, down and left arrows for the four pads.
- Space: listen to the sequence again (once per game).
Tip: sing the melody in your head; the notes are chosen from a harmonious scale, and the ear often remembers better than the eyes.
About the game
The sequences are drawn at random, without overly long repetitions of the same note. The sounds are synthesised live: each pad has its own pitch, with a slight harmonic for a chime-like timbre.
