Cards
War
The highest card wins… unless a tie triggers a war!
The great classic: flip your cards at the same time as your opponent, the highest takes the trick and every tie triggers a war. Play turn by turn or let it run in automatic mode.

How to play
Goal of the game
Win all the cards in the deck. The deck is split into two equal face-down piles: yours and your opponent’s.
How it works
- Each round, you both flip the top card of your pile.
- The higher card wins the trick: the ace is the highest, then the king, the queen, the jack, the 10 and so on down to the 2. Suits do not matter.
- The winner slides the cards won under their pile.
- War! If both cards have the same value, each player places one card face down, then one card face up: the higher of the two wins all the cards in play. Another tie extends the war (double war, triple war…).
- The player who has no cards left, or who cannot supply the two cards of a war, loses the game.
Controls
- Tap your pile, or anywhere on the table, to flip your card. On the keyboard: Space or Enter.
- The Auto button (A key) plays the rounds automatically; tap it again to take back control.
- "Speed" option: Fast speeds up all the animations. "Deck" option: the 32-card deck (7 to ace) gives shorter games with more wars.
Tip: no decision can change the outcome of the game, War is a pure game of chance. Enjoy the suspense of the wars and the automatic mode!
About the AI
Your opponent makes no decisions: like you, they flip the top card of their pile and never know the order of their cards. Won cards are slid under the winner’s pile in a random order, which guarantees that the game always ends eventually.
